The Great Plains Area Indian Health Service (GPAIHS), part of the Department of Health and Human Services, is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive Dietary Distribution Services for the Great Plains Area Regional Drug Dependency Unit (GPARDDU) in Winnebago, Nebraska. - Government Buyer: - Agency: Department of Health and Human Services - Sub-agency: Indian Health Service, Great Plains Area Indian Health Service (GPAIHS) - Office: Division of Acquisition Management (DAM) - Products and Services Requested: - Weekly procurement and delivery of a wide range of USDA-compliant food items (fresh produce, dairy, meats, grains, canned goods, snacks, beverages) - Kitchen supplies and cleaning chemicals (e.g., degreasers, dishwashing soap, sanitizers, disposable goods, utensils, kitchen wares) - All items must meet federal, state, and local food safety regulations and maintain product quality and freshness - Delivery must be made per an approved schedule, with temperature control and replacement/credit for defective goods - Contractor must maintain all required licenses and certifications, provide record keeping and audit support, and coordinate with facility staff - Notable Requirements: - Strict compliance with USDA, FDA, and health regulations - Performance monitoring based on timeliness, accuracy, and compliance - Service supports the health and dietary needs of Native American patients in a federal healthcare facility - No specific OEMs or brand-name vendors are mandated; a variety of commercial food and supply brands are referenced in the product list (e.g., Hiland, Dole, Hungry Jack, Best Choice, Quaker, Bush's, Prego, Keebler, Vlasic, Act II, Crystal Light, Danimals, Always Save, Pioneer, Gold N Sweet, Chef's Magic, Black Oak, Menumaster, Buddig, etc.) - Contract includes a base year with four option years, supporting long-term dietary service needs

Description

The GPAIHS DAM plans to solicit a Firm-Fixed Price, Commercial Service contract for Dietary Distribution Services to provide food and other supplies for the Dietary Department for the GPARDDU, 113 South Bluff Street, Winnebago, Nebraska 68071.

Supplies listed in the attached Statement of Work (SOW) will be needed on a daily, weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly basis to be delivered to the dietary department for food services to the facility. Items are to be delivered once a week by approved truck and must be USDA compliant with all standards and meet all food regulations. All prices must be an all-inclusive price. These supplies meet the mission of the GPARDDU which aims to raise Native American peoples’ health status to the highest possible level. The IHS provides a comprehensive health service delivery system for American Indians and Alaska Natives.
