The Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics Producer Price Index (PPI) Program Office is conducting market research for subscription services that provide aggregated, current month price data for chicken eggs and select seafood across six U.S. regions. - Government Buyer: - Department of Labor (DOL), Bureau of Labor Statistics, Producer Price Index (PPI) Program Office - Office of the Secretary of Public Engagement (OSPE) - Products/Services Requested: - Subscription service for aggregated price data covering: - Chicken eggs (weighted average prices by size: Jumbo, Extra large, Large, Medium, Small, Breaker stock; reported as $/dozen over the first 14 days of the month, by six U.S. regions) - Tuna (weighted average price by volume, $/pound, less-than-truckload, first 14 days) - Shrimp (U.S. caught, primarily Gulf of Mexico, headless, shell on, $/pound, less-than-truckload, first 14 days) - Crab (weighted average price by volume, $/pound, less-than-truckload, first 14 days) - Lobster (live, weighted average price by volume, $/pound, less-than-truckload, first 14 days) - Clams, oysters, sea scallops, mussels (weighted average price by volume, $/count or $/pound, less-than-truckload, first 14 days) - Notable Requirements: - Data must be aggregated and reflect wholesale transactions - Prices must be reported by specific product types, sizes, and regions - Data must cover the first 14 days of each month - Data is used to support PPI index calculations - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the request - No part numbers or purchase quantities are specified - This is a Request for Information (RFI) for market research and planning purposes only

Description

The purpose of this RFI is to gather information about potential subscription services to obtain aggregated current month chicken egg and select seafood price data.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics, Producer Price Index (PPI) Program Office has a need to purchase aggregated current month chicken egg and select seafood price data to assist the PPI in calculating indexes.
