Binghamton University intends to procure a comprehensive transportation software solution capable of providing real-time bus tracking and transit information to the University community, including students, faculty and staff. The solution must support live vehicle location services, route visualization, estimated arrival times, service alerts, and related transit communication tools accessible through mobile and/or web-based platforms. The system must integrate with University identification card technology to capture and analyze rider boarding activity through ID card tap functionality and collect, process, and report ridership and operational data. The data and analytics will be used to support operational planning, route optimization, scheduling analysis, service efficiency improvements, mapping, reporting, and long-term transportation planning initiatives.
