The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive inspection, testing, and maintenance services for fire sprinkler and related life safety systems at the Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut. - Government Buyer - U.S. Coast Guard, LOG-95 Regional Contracting Northeast (Norfolk, VA) - Coast Guard Academy Fire Marshal Office (New London, CT) - Scope of Services - Recurring inspection and testing of fire sprinkler systems, standpipe systems, backflow prevention devices, fire pumps, and fire hydrants - Weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, 3-year, and 5-year inspections and tests per NFPA 25 standards - Emergency service response with 4-hour maximum response time for system failures or activations - Routine service calls, testing, and repairs on an as-needed basis - Coverage includes approximately 20 wet, 4 dry, 20 standpipe systems, and 20 backflow prevention assemblies across multiple buildings - Product/Service Line Items - Weekly fire pump runs (52 per year) - Monthly backflow prevention device inspections (12 per year) - Quarterly and annual inspections of all systems - 3-year trip test on dry sprinkler systems - 5-year internal inspection and flow/hydrostatic testing of standpipe systems - Annual flow testing of fire pumps and hydrants - Semi-annual maintenance of dry sprinkler system compressors - Annual anti-freeze solution test and adjustment - Notable Requirements - Contractor must comply with all federal and state regulations and wage determination standards - Site visit required prior to proposal submission - All work must adhere to NFPA 25 and manufacturer recommendations - 100% set aside for small businesses under NAICS 561210 - OEMs and Vendors - No specific OEMs or manufacturers are named in the solicitation or attachments - Place of Performance - United States Coast Guard Academy, 15 Mohegan Ave., New London, CT 06320 - Contract Structure - Firm-fixed-price contract with a one-year base period and four one-year option periods (total of five years)
