Rooftop Mechanical Units Replacement at Ivy Tech Community College South Bend

Ivy Tech Community College South Bend Campus is seeking qualified contractors for the replacement of rooftop mechanical units #8 and #9 at its South Bend facility. - Scope of Work: - Removal and disposal of existing rooftop units (RTU-8 and RTU-9) and associated exhaust fans (EF-8 and EF-9) - Installation of new rooftop units (RTU-8 and RTU-9) and exhaust fans - Installation of new variable frequency drives (VFDs), disconnect switches, supply and return air ductwork, and gas line extension - Integration of new units with the existing building automation system (BAS), maintained by Innovative Control Systems, LLC - Electrical connections, including weatherproof disconnect switches and flexible conduit - Factory authorized start-up, training, and scheduled rechecks at 3, 6, and 11 months - Roofing and curb modifications, including patching and sealing with temperature constraints - Testing, balancing, and commissioning of new units - Notable Requirements: - New equipment must be compatible with the current BAS - Coordination required to minimize disruption in occupied areas - Compliance with Indiana E-Verify laws, data sharing agreements, and all relevant codes and regulations - Supplier diversity and non-collusion requirements - No specific OEMs or part numbers are mandated; project specifications and draft drawings are provided for reference. - Place of performance is Ivy Tech Community College, 220 Dean Johnson Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana.

Ivy Tech Community College South Bend Campus is seeking qualified contractors to bid on the South Bend Rooftop Units 8 and 9 Replacement Project. The project involves replacing existing rooftop mechanical units #8 and #9, which are original to the campus building and have exceeded their lifespan of 15 to 20 years. The scope includes removal of existing rooftop equipment, installation of new equipment, piping, ductwork, electrical systems, testing and balancing of new units, integration into existing building control systems, and roofing and curb modifications as needed. A pre-bid walk-through is scheduled for May 8, 2026, and bids must be submitted by May 22, 2026.
