Carteret County Government is seeking competitive bids for a turnkey replacement of windows, storefront doors, and curtain wall systems at the Carteret County Courthouse and administrative building in Beaufort, North Carolina. - Government Buyer: - Carteret County Government, Purchasing Department - OEMs and Vendors: - Trulite Glass & Aluminum Solutions (OEM for specified systems) - Approved equals may be considered for all specified products - Products/Services Requested: - Replacement of 166 fixed pane windows (aluminum framed, factory-tinted, impact rated) - Replacement of 3 single storefront doors with sidelights (impact rated, factory-tinted) - Replacement of two-story storefront system on northside breezeway (Trulite 3300 Impact Storefront System or approved equal) - Replacement of storefront system into courthouse courtyard (Trulite 3300 Impact Storefront System or approved equal) - Replacement of two two-story fixed pane windows into courthouse courtyard - Replacement of two-story fixed pane windows on west wall - Curtain wall system replacement (Trulite SB751 Impact Rated Curtain Wall System or approved equal) - Turnkey installation services, including all labor, materials, equipment, field verification, security coordination, and restoration of all affected areas - Unique or Notable Requirements: - All products must meet High-Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ) standards and comply with ASTM E1996/TAS 201, ASTM E1886/TAS 203, and Miami-Dade impact standards - Factory-tinted glass and specified hardware for all new doors - Contractors must field verify all measurements and quantities - Coordination required for badge access door security termination - Restoration of all interior and exterior conditions to pre-construction state - Compliance with applicable codes for wind load and energy efficiency - The County may award to multiple qualified contractors - Locations: - Carteret County Courthouse, 302 Courthouse Square, Beaufort, NC (primary place of performance) - Carteret County Government administrative building (project scope includes both courthouse and administrative building) - Period of Performance: - Contract period is 200 days from Notice to Proceed; schedule to be coordinated to minimize disruption to County operations; work may be performed during non-business hours with notice and approval

Description

Carteret County Government is seeking competitive proposals for the replacement of select windows and storefront doors at the Carteret County Courthouse facility located at 302 Courthouse Square in Beaufort, North Carolina. The project includes the replacement of 166 existing windows with fixed pane units, three existing single storefront doors with sidelights, the two-story storefront system on the northside of the breezeway, the storefront system into the Courthouse courtyard, two 2-story fixed pane windows into the Courthouse courtyard, and 2-story fixed pane windows on the west wall. The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary for the turnkey completion of the project, including obtaining required permits and restoring all interior and exterior conditions to pre-construction state. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on-site on May 11, 2026, and proposals are due by May 27, 2026, at 1:00 PM EST.
