Description

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to approve the State Implementation Plan (SIP) revision submitted by the State of Missouri on May 3, 2023. This revision pertains to the attainment plan for the New Madrid nonattainment area for the 2010 1-hour sulfur dioxide (SO2) primary National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS). The plan includes the State's attainment demonstration, emission limitations, base-year and projection-year emission inventories, reasonably available control measures and technology, nonattainment new source review, progress requirements, and contingency measures. The EPA is proposing to approve Missouri's submission as meeting the relevant Clean Air Act requirements.
