Description

The FAA proposes a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Airbus SAS Model A330-841 and A330-941 airplanes due to reports of corrosion on lavatory floor fittings. The AD would require repetitive inspections and applicable corrective actions, with optional replacement of affected floor fittings as a terminating action. It also limits installation of affected parts under certain conditions and prohibits installation of affected lavatories for certain airplanes. The directive aims to address the unsafe condition to prevent detachment of the lavatory module and ensure passenger and crew safety.
