Description
This notice announces the continuation of the national emergency declared with respect to the Central African Republic. The national emergency was originally declared by Executive Order 13667 on May 12, 2014, due to the unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States posed by the situation in the Central African Republic. The situation includes widespread violence, atrocities, and the use of child soldiers, and continues to threaten peace, security, and stability in the region. The national emergency is extended for one year beyond May 12, 2026.
