TSA is launching its Third-Party Testing (TPT) framework for security screening equipment, inviting equipment vendors and donors to submit candidate systems for evaluation. - Opportunity is open to OEMs and equipment vendors seeking TSA assessment of their screening systems - TPT framework outlines procedures for third-party testing under TSA oversight - Third-party testers must meet criteria including U.S. citizenship and conflict of interest standards - Testing services supplement TSA's in-house evaluation, potentially reducing TSA's own testing scope - No specific products, part numbers, or quantities are listed; focus is on screening technology systems - Participation requires compliance with TSA's TPT procedures and performance standards - Place of performance includes TSA Systems Integration Facility and federal facilities in Virginia - Detailed requirements and process are provided in the attached framework document
Description
TSA currently maintains a robust Test and Evaluation (T&E) organization to oversee and conduct test activities for TSA screening equipment demonstrations and system acquisitions. TSA T&E has an established Third-Party Testing (TPT) framework which details procedures for conducting TPT of candidate screening systems on behalf of an equipment vendor or donor. With appropriate oversight from TSA T&E, TPT data can be accepted to help inform the assessment of a system’s ability to meet TSA’s performance requirements. The attached documents outline TSA’S TPT framework.
