The Port of Longview is seeking bids for the supply of a wide range of rail materials to support its Q2 Rail Materials Purchase project: - Government Buyer: - Port of Longview, Longview, Washington - Products Requested: - Treated wood rail ties in various lengths (8'6" to 17'), 100–40 units per size - 780 monoblock, pretensioned, prestressed concrete rail ties (7 x 9 x 8'6") - 343 tons of 136RE rail (80-ft lengths, drilled, with 10% shorts allowed) - 96 new 36-inch, 6-hole joint bars for 136RE rail - 1,145 track bolts (1" x 6" or 6.5"), heavy squarehead nuts, plain washers - 4 right-hand 16-6 switch turnout packages (No. 9 frog, double reinforced knife blade switch points, joint bars, spikes, rods, plates, switch stand) - 343 c spring clips (Pandrol c clips or approved equivalent) - 500 screw spikes (15/16" x 6") - 10 rail spikes (5/8" x 6") - 2 cedar tie plugs - Notable Requirements: - All materials must meet AREMA (American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association) standards - Delivery to the Port of Longview facility - Bidders must provide all items within a schedule but are not required to bid on every schedule - Equivalent products may be accepted for certain items (e.g., Pandrol c clips or approved equivalent) - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation - The Port may award contracts by schedule, resulting in one or multiple awards

Description

This solicitation is an Invitation to Bid (ITB) for the purchase of rail materials for the Port of Longview. The materials are to be installed by others and must conform to the specifications provided in the bid documents. The Port intends to award contracts to the lowest responsible bidders for each schedule on the bid form, which may result in one or multiple contracts. Bidders are required to bid on all items within a schedule but not necessarily on all schedules. The Port reserves the right to cancel or reissue the solicitation and to expand the scope under certain conditions.
