Alberta Environment and Protected Areas (EPA) is seeking proposals for environmental DNA (eDNA) monitoring of aquatic invasive species (AIS) in high-priority waterbodies in the southern region of Alberta. The project aims to detect invasive mussels and fish diseases early to enable timely response and containment. The contract duration is 18 months, starting approximately in June 2026. This monitoring supports Alberta's mandate to protect water infrastructure and fisheries from invasive species and diseases.
