Description
BC Parks is inviting proposals to implement prescribed wildfire risk reduction mechanical and hand treatments in 55.4 hectares of Dragon Mountain Park over a one-year term. The objective of treatment is to reduce the risk of wildfire to critical infrastructure within and outside the park, as well as to the park’s natural, cultural, and recreation values. Services include mechanical tree thinning, pruning, surface fuel reduction, and treatment debris disposal by pile burning or other proposed methods. The project involves phased tree removal based on proximity to powerlines and roads, with an estimated 2,400m3 of merchantable volume generated. The contractor must comply with the Forest Licence to Cut conditions for this project.
