Description
BC Parks is inviting proposals to implement prescribed wildfire risk reduction mechanical and hand treatments in 55.4 hectares of Dragon Mountain Park over a one-year term. The objective of treatment is to reduce the risk of wildfire to critical infrastructure within and outside the park, as well as to the park’s natural, cultural, and recreation values. The services required include mechanical tree thinning, pruning, surface fuel reduction, and treatment debris disposal by pile burning or other proposed methods. The project involves approximately 2,400m3 of merchantable timber and must comply with the Forest Licence to Cut (FLTC) conditions.
