The Air Force Sustainment Center at Tinker Air Force Base is seeking remanufacture services for B-1 Electro-Mechanical Rotary Actuators, a critical component for B-1 aircraft wing operations. - Government Buyer: - Department of the Air Force, Air Force Sustainment Center, Tinker AFB (FA8118 AFSC PZABB) - OEMs and Vendors: - Whippany Actuation Systems LLC is the sole approved source for the actuator remanufacture - Products/Services Requested: - Remanufacture of 24 B-1 Electro-Mechanical Rotary Actuators (NSN: 1680-01-267-9557RK, Part Number: R16115) - Includes disassembly, cleaning, inspection, maintenance, reassembly, testing, and finishing to like-new condition - Delivery of 5 units every 60 days to DLA Distribution Depot Oklahoma at Tinker AFB - Additional services: - Beyond Economic Repair (BER) assessment and handling - Over and Above (additional negotiated services) - Data provision (not separately priced) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Only Whippany Actuation Systems LLC is currently approved; qualification and source approval required for others - Surge capacity up to 20% above estimated quantities may be required - Contractor must manage parts sourcing, supply chain risk, cybersecurity, and provide detailed reporting - Initial Production Evaluation (IPE) required within 90 days of first delivery order - Place of Performance and Delivery: - Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma (including DLA Distribution Depot Oklahoma)

Description

The United States Air Force through Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC), Tinker AFB 73145 is contemplating the Remanufacture of B1 Electro- Mechanical Actuator. The contractor shall provide all labor, facilities, equipment and all material to accomplish remanufacture. The work encompasses the disassembly cleaning, inspection, maintenance re-assembly, testing, and finishing actions required to return the item to a like-new condition in accordance with the solicitation requirements and all attachments. A firm fixed price, firm fixed quantity Requirements type contract is contemplated with one- 2 year Basic. The B-1 Electro-Mechanical Actuator is used to hold or sweep the wing forward in the event that the wing sweep actuator system malfunctions. See attached for more information.
