The U.S. Naval Test Pilot School, part of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division under the Department of the Navy, is seeking specialized flight demonstration services for its Qualitative Evaluation program: - Government Buyer: - U.S. Navy, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, U.S. Naval Test Pilot School - OEMs and Vendors: - Bussmann Aviation LLC (highlighted as the sole source provider) - MD Helicopters (OEM of the MD-500 aircraft required for demonstrations) - Products/Services Requested: - Up to 17 hours of MD-500 aircraft flight demonstrations - Ferry flights for the MD-500 to and from NAS Patuxent River, MD - Daily rates for pilots and maintainers - Travel costs for personnel (lodging, rental vehicles, per diem) - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Aircraft must be MD-500 model, FAA-certified, and equipped with dual controls - Safety pilot qualifications and maintenance standards are specified - Competing vendors must be authorized distributors able to maintain Bussmann Aviation LLC warranty - All services to be performed at NAS Patuxent River, MD - Place of Performance: - Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland - Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division facility

Description

Solicitation N0042126Q1166 is issued as an intent to sole source.   The Government under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) FAR Part 13 intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis, and to solicit and award the proposed purchase order on a sole source basis with Bussmann Aviation LLC, under the authority implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b). 

Offerors must be currently registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to submission of an offer to be considered for award of any DoD contract. This may be accomplished electronically at http://www.sam.gov.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes.  A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.  Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.  The government will not pay for any information received.

 If a bid is received from another vendor, you must be an authorized distributer with Platform and will need to be able to keep Bussmann Aviation LLC Warranty.
