The University of Southern Maine, part of the University of Maine System, is seeking responses to provide site amenities for its weekend ESP 150 Field Immersion Course held each September. The course focuses on teaching basic environmental science field skills including forest, soil, wildlife, and aquatic systems, with emphasis on orienteering, map reading, boating, and community building. The preferred site is within 25 miles or a 45-minute drive from the USM Gorham campus and should offer teaching spaces, private meeting rooms, audiovisual equipment, outdoor campfire and cookout facilities, and access prior to each weekend for planning.
