This project includes replacement of all HVAC equipment with a newly configured system, adding new equipment space to enable housing of new mechanical equipment with sufficient space to comply with latest UFCs. Certain independent units will be consolidated into new centralized system capacity once new floor space is established. The control system of all BX and mall area replaced equipment will be via new Siemens Design (replacing the existing Siemens and older components) and report to the Tyndall COMM building via fiber link. The construction is anticipated to be a one-year contract, to be awarded in FY2026, and constructed in 2026-2027 (Subject to the availability of funds), and the building must remain in operation as much as practicable during the construction period. There is anticipated to be ceiling and interior repairs associated with the project, along with potential minor structural modifications needed to accommodate the new units, and those costs are covered in the estimate. The whole system will be tested and balanced per the contract documents.
