This notice is a public posting of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement's intended decision to award a single source contract to NicheVision Forensics, LLC for annual upgrades and maintenance of the STRmix software. The software is used for probabilistic genotyping in forensic DNA analysis to aid in the interpretation of DNA mixture results. NicheVision Forensics, LLC is the only authorized vendor for this proprietary software in the United States.
