The Library of Congress, through its National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled (NLS), is seeking to procure a high-volume Braillo 600 SR2 embosser with compressor for braille document production. - Government Buyer: - Library of Congress, National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled (NLS), Contracts and Grants Directorate - OEM Highlight: - Braillo is the specified and sole acceptable Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) - Only authorized Braillo resellers may submit quotes; proof of authorization is required - Products/Services Requested: - One (1) Braillo 600 SR2 embosser with compressor (part number: Braillo 600 SR2) - Must be new, not gray market, and meet national braille standards (minimum 0.5 mm dot height) - Designed for continuous, high-volume operation (600 characters per second) using braille paper rolls - Includes shipping, delivery, installation, and all necessary materials, labor, tools, and technical documentation - Training: Two one-hour sessions for staff at the installation site - Warranty: Four-year manufacturer's warranty (three years standard plus one additional year if Braillo/ATC braille paper is used), with 24-hour response and next business day service for parts and labor - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Brand name only (Braillo 600 SR2); no substitutes accepted - Equipment must be installed to meet government network and security requirements - The Library may verify reseller status directly with Braillo - Delivery and installation required at the Library of Congress in Washington, DC - Firm fixed price contract; no option years - Place of Performance/Delivery: - Library of Congress, National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled, 101 Independence Ave SE, Washington, DC

Description

The offeror must be an authorized reseller and must submit evidence of their authorization with their quote. The Library may contact the manufacturer to confirm that offeror is an authorized reseller. The Library does not purchase gray market products.

The Contractor shall supply one (1) Braillo 600 SR2 unit with compressor with the specifications and requirements described in the Statement of Work. The Contractor shall furnish all necessary transportation, labor, materials, tools, parts, diagnostic and test equipment, technical manuals and publications, product training, installation, and other services as may be required to deliver and provide warranty service for the equipment purchased under this contract.

This is a brand name requirement. See the attached Justification and Approval.

Offeror questions are due by 05/13/2026 at 12:00 PM Eastern Time. Responses to questions will be posted to SAM as an amendment to the solicitation.

Quotes in response to this solicitation are due by 05/20/2026 at 12:00 PM EST.
