The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is initiating 5-year status reviews for 78 species located in Hawaii, Idaho, Oregon, and California under the Endangered Species Act of 1973. These reviews are based on the best scientific and commercial data available and aim to assess the current status of the species. The agency is requesting submission of any new information on these species that has become available since the last reviews. Comments are accepted until July 6, 2026, and can be submitted electronically via the Federal eRulemaking Portal.
