Description

This notice announces the Presidential declaration of an emergency for the State of New Mexico (FEMA-3628-EM), dated July 10, 2025, due to severe storms, flooding, and landslides beginning on June 23, 2025, and continuing. The declaration authorizes federal assistance for emergency protective measures under the Public Assistance program, limited to direct federal assistance. The designated adversely affected areas include Chaves, Lincoln, Otero, and Valencia Counties. Federal assistance is limited to 75 percent of the total eligible costs, and the Federal Coordinating Officer appointed is Jose M. Gil Montanez of FEMA.
