Description

This notice announces the Presidential declaration of an emergency for the State of Louisiana (FEMA-3638-EM) dated January 24, 2026. The emergency declaration is due to a severe winter storm beginning on January 23, 2026, and continuing. The declaration authorizes emergency protective measures under the Public Assistance program to save lives, protect property, and public health and safety. Federal assistance is limited to 75 percent of eligible costs and is supplemental to state and local efforts.
