The U.S. Air Force, through the 42d Contracting Squadron and the 23rd Flying Training Squadron at Cairns Army Airfield, is seeking sources for a turnkey upgrade and expansion of the audio-visual (AV) system in Baker Auditorium and the adjacent Heritage Room at Fort Rucker, Alabama. - Scope of Work: - Engineer, de-install outdated equipment, furnish, install, and integrate a modern, non-proprietary AV system - System must support multi-zone audio/video management, secure briefing isolation, and user-friendly controls for both local presentations and Unified Communications (UC) events (e.g., Microsoft Teams) - Integration with existing equipment rack if feasible; optional new rack if required - On-site training for system operation, UC/Teams integration, and troubleshooting - Products Requested (brand name or equal): - 4K short-throw laser projector (Epson or Optoma) - 12ft electric projector screen - In-ceiling speakers (JBL, Yamaha, or equal) - Amplifier - In-ceiling microphones (2) - Dual-channel wireless microphone system (Shure QLX-D or Sennheiser EW-DX) - Flat-screen TV (55-65") - PTZ camera with AI auto-tracking (BirdDog, AVer, or Panasonic) - AV-over-IP control processor and touch screen controller (QSC Q-SYS Core Nano) - AV-over-IP or HDBaseT network solution - Use of existing or new equipment rack - Optional: fixed camera, Heritage Room 4.1 sound system, microphone array upgrade (Shure MXA920 or Sennheiser TeamConnect Ceiling 2), video windowing processor - Unique Requirements: - Non-proprietary, brand name or equal solutions - No recurring software fees - Secure isolation logic for classified/unclassified briefings - Seamless integration with Unified Communications platforms - No specific part numbers or quantities for most items; detailed descriptions provided for each component - Place of performance: Cairns Army Airfield, Building 30137 Auditorium and Heritage Room, Fort Rucker, Alabama

Description

The 42d Contracting Squadron, on behalf of the 23rd Flying Training Squadron at Cairns AAF, Fort Rucker,  AL is conducting market research to identify potential sources capable of providing a complete, turnkey audio-visual (AV) system upgrade for Baker Auditorium and expanding AV capabilities into the adjacent Heritage Room.

The Government requires a contractor to engineer, de-install the existing outdated equipment, furnish, install, and integrate a modern, non-proprietary AV solution. The new system must provide multi-zone audio/video management, secure briefing isolation capabilities, and user-friendly control for both local presentations and Unified Communications (UC) events (e.g., MS Teams).
