The U.S. Army's Ammunition Center Europe (ACE) is seeking to lease a heavy-duty forklift to support ammunition storage and demilitarization operations in Germany. - Government Buyer: - Department of Defense, Department of the Army, 409th Contracting Support Brigade (CSB), Theater Contracting Center - Ammunition Center Europe (ACE) - OEMs and Vendors: - Konecranes (OEM of reference model: SMV 25-1200 C) - Equivalent manufacturers of 25-ton heavy forklifts - Products/Services Requested: - Lease of one heavy forklift (25,000 kg/25-ton capacity), model Konecranes SMV 25-1200 C or equivalent - Diesel engine (minimum 185 kW, EU Stage 4 / Tier 4f) - Pneumatic tires - Fully enclosed, air-conditioned cabin - Electronic weighing system, back-up camera, and specified accessories - Equipment must be less than 2 years old and have no more than 2,000 working hours - Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair services - Service provider must be within 50 km of Miesau Army Depot - Replacement forklift delivery within 24 hours if the leased unit is inoperable for 48+ hours - User training for up to 10 personnel, in German, at the delivery location - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Forklift must be delivered to and returned from Miesau Army Depot, Germany - Training must be conducted in German within 10 days of delivery - Strict age and usage limits on equipment - Rapid replacement and local service support required - Place of Performance: - Miesau Army Depot, Bruchmühlbach-Miesau, Germany - Kaiserslautern, Germany (general area of operations)

Description

The 409th CSB, Theater Contracting Center is publishing this presolicitation for the lease of one 25-ton capacity forklift, without operator, to support TLSC-E/ A and Ammunition Center Europe (ACE) operations at Kaiserslautern (Germany). The forklift will be used for the safe handling, movement, and staging of heavy ammunition containers and related materials in support of ongoing logistics and training missions.
