The U.S. Marine Corps is seeking recurring delivery of bagged ice to support recruit training operations at Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) San Diego. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Marine Corps, Recruit Training Regiment, MCRD San Diego - Contracting office at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, CA - Products/Services Requested: - Commercially packaged bagged ice (cube or crushed) - Estimated total quantities across base and option periods: over 700,000 pounds - Base period: 160,000 lbs - Option years: 168,000 lbs, 176,400 lbs, 185,220 lbs, 194,480 lbs - Additional estimated 30,200 lbs for specific training operations - Weekly deliveries ranging from 520 to 1,600 lbs per delivery - Delivery locations include Duncan Hall Dining Facility (Bldg 620) and Distribution Management Office (4250 Belleau Ave, Bldg 149), both at MCRD San Diego - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Contractor must provide all labor, materials, transportation, and comply with base access/security - Deliveries required Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays - Firm-fixed-price contract with evaluation based on technical capability, past performance, and price - Contract includes a 12-month base period, four 12-month option periods, and a 6-month extension option - Set aside for SBA participants - No specific OEMs or brand names are mentioned; ice must be commercially packaged and suitable for human consumption
