The Veterans Affairs Long Beach Healthcare System (VALB) is dedicated to the highest standards of patient care, safety, and regulatory compliance An emergent construction requirement exists to renovate and correct safety, life-safety, and operational deficiencies within the Dermatology Clinic – Building 126 Clinic and Corridor areas at the VA Long Beach Healthcare System. Building 126 Dermatology clinic is an active patient care environment providing pain management, and other services to Veterans with service-connected disabilities. These services support Veterans with limited mobility, prosthetic devices, and chronic pain conditions, requiring safe, accessible, and code-compliant clinical pathways. Existing conditions include deteriorated flooring.

The presence of damaged infrastructure, such as damaged floors, pose safety trip hazards.  Several areas require updates to meet Americans with Disabilities Act standarts and VHA safety regulations therefore this is a priority safety project
