Air Force Solicitation for Mortuary Affairs Services and Supplies at Keesler AFB

The U.S. Air Force at Keesler Air Force Base is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive mortuary affairs services under a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA). - Government Buyer: - Department of Defense, U.S. Air Force, 81st Force Support Squadron, 81st Contracting Squadron (81 CONS CC) at Keesler AFB - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) or commercial vendors are named; the solicitation is open to qualified providers of mortuary services and related supplies - Products/Services Requested: - Mortuary affairs services, including: - Embalming, restoration, preparation, care, and disposition of remains - Transportation of remains (overland and air, with flag draping for authorized personnel) - Cremation services for subsequent remains or retained organs, including urn provision and documentation - Quality assurance, pre-award inspections of funeral homes and crematoriums, and ongoing quality control - Supplies required: - Caskets (metal, hardwood, cremation, infant/child/youth), urns (hardwood or bronze, with military emblems/engraving), shipping containers (wood-based, air carrier compliant), and alternative cremation containers (fiberboard) - All products must conform to commercial item descriptions and regulatory standards - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Providers must have licensed facilities and funeral service practitioners - Must demonstrate capacity for additional services during emergencies - Remains accountability process using identity disks or similar devices - Compliance with federal, state, and local laws, hygienic practices, and documentation (e.g., death certificates) - Pre-award and ongoing inspections by government evaluators - Contract Structure and Value: - BPA with a five-year ordering period, maximum ceiling of $349,999.99, and individual orders from $500 to $24,999.99 - Place of Performance: - Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, Mississippi, with specific delivery and resource management locations on base

Site Visit

Offeror shall submit site visit information on Attachment 6 - Site Visit Information via email to the point of contact below to coordinate a site visit. An organized site visit will be coordinated for 6 May, 7 May, or 11 May between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
