The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 17 is seeking vendors to install and expand a Patient Elopement and Wander Management System across multiple VA healthcare facilities in Texas. - Government Buyer: - Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) - Network Contracting Office 17 (NCO 17), Regional Procurement Office West - Dallas VA Medical Center, VA North Texas Healthcare System - Products and Equipment Requested: - Patient wander transmitters with patient ID and/or banding - Client workstations with proximity card readers and touchscreen monitors - Staff Alert Panel (SAP) or analog backup notification system - Door and zone control systems with magnetic locks and keypad/touchscreen displays - Enterprise software virtualized on facility-supplied server - Rack mountable 1U server (quantity: 1) - Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) for head-end equipment and computer systems - Patient wrist bands (quantity dependent on high-risk rooms) - Services Requested: - Complete installation services including site preparation, electrical/data work, networking, and infection control compliance - Nursing and biomedical staff training - Removal and disposal of old equipment - Provision of remote support access software - Unique/Notable Requirements: - System must integrate with fire and security systems - Must support future expansion and include UPS backup - Infection control compliance required during installation - OEM authorization letters required if proposing specific equipment - Vendor must provide estimated pricing for market research - Place of Performance and Delivery Locations: - Dallas VA Medical Center (4500 S. This market research notice is being conducted by Network Contracting Office (NCO) 17 VHA Regional Procurement Office-West (RPOW) 124 E. Hwy 67 Suite 100 Duncanville Texas 75134

The requirement is for Patient Elopement | Installation. See attached Statement of Work.

If this is a service your business can provide, please respond to this Sources Sought Notice by 3:00 PM Central Time on Wednesday, 13 May 2026.

The intent of this notice is to establish sources to define the procurement strategy (e.g set-aside, sole source, unrestricted) for a solicitation that VA intends to post soon. Interested contractors are requested to respond in accordance with the following:

a. If you have an existing GSA or VA, Federal Supply Schedule contract, include the contract details in your response.

Please note that VA is particularly interested in determining the availability of Small Business that can provide this service.

Vendors are requested to submit estimated market research pricing with their responses. The estimated pricing will be considered when determining the procurement strategy for the future solicitation. (e.g. if CO determines that capable small businesses cannot provide fair and reasonable pricing, then the solicitation will not be set-aside).
