The National Park Service, National Capital Area, is seeking hazard tree mitigation and assessment services for Harpers Ferry National Historical Park (HAFE), spanning West Virginia, Virginia, and Maryland. - Government Buyer: - National Park Service (NPS), National Capital Area, Office of Acquisition Management - Contracting office located at 7333 W Jefferson Ave Suite 100, Lakewood, CO - Scope of Services: - Full-spectrum hazard tree mitigation, including tree felling, pruning, bucking, and woody debris removal along trails, roads, and park boundaries - Level 2 tree risk assessments (80 hours) with tagging, GPS mapping, and reporting per ISA Best Management Practices and ANSI standards - Tree risk mitigation along specific trails: - Maryland Heights: ~93 trees (4 prune, 89 fell/buck) - Bolivar Heights (Option 1): ~27 trees (10 prune, 17 fell/buck) - Potoma Wayside (Option 2): ~16 trees (6 prune, 10 fell/buck) - Appalachian Trail (Option 3): ~22 trees (2 prune, 20 fell/buck) - Products/Part Numbers: - Main line item: Hazard Tree Mitigation (Part Number: 00010) - Unique Requirements: - All work must comply with ISA Best Management Practices and ANSI standards - Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM ET, excluding federal holidays; after-hours work requires prior approval - Small business set-aside under NAICS 561730 (Landscaping Services) - Locations: - Primary place of performance: Harpers Ferry National Historical Park (230B Zachary Taylor Place, Harpers Ferry, WV 25425) - Work may also occur in Jefferson County (WV), Loudoun County (VA), and Washington County (MD)
