B-52 Static Display Aircraft Preservation and Repainting at Barksdale AFB

The U.S. Air Force Global Strike Command at Barksdale Air Force Base is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive aircraft preservation and restoration services for a B-52 Static Display Air Vehicle (SDAV). - Government Buyer: - Department of Defense, U.S. Air Force Global Strike Command (FA4608 2 CONS LGC) - Weapons Load Training Facility at Barksdale Air Force Base - Services Requested: - Aircraft preservation services, including all labor, supervision, tools, materials, and equipment - Complete repainting of a B-52 SDAV, including inspection, cleaning, corrosion treatment, sanding, repairs, sealing, and painting - All work must comply with USAF Technical Orders, Barksdale AFB Environmental Requirements, National Museum of the USAF guidance, and all relevant federal, state, and local regulations - Strict adherence to safety standards and directives from the Barksdale AFB Hazardous Waste Program Manager - Environmental compliance and proper waste disposal are critical requirements - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or product part numbers are mentioned in the solicitation or attachments - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Restoration must return the aircraft to its original operational appearance - Use of specified primers and topcoats as per USAF Technical Orders - The 702 MXS squadron will provide non-powered support equipment - Contractor must provide the period of performance schedule - Place of Performance: - Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana (Weapons Load Training Facility)

Description

The Contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, supervision, tools, materials, and equipment to complete the project in full compliance with this Statement of Work (SOW), USAF Technical Orders (T.O.s), Barksdale AFB Environmental Requirements, National Museum of the USAF guidance, and all applicable Federal, State, County, and local regulations. This includes strict adherence to safety standards, OSHA, DEQ, DOT, EPA regulations, and directives from the Barksdale AFB Hazardous Waste Program Manager.
