Description

This solicitation is for the procurement of battery electric locomotives and charging stations. The City of Tacoma / Tacoma Public Utilities, Rail Division, is seeking proposals to establish one or more contracts with qualified vendors to provide turnkey delivery of equipment, materials, and personnel necessary to construct two fully functioning Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) compliant battery-electric locomotives. These locomotives will be charged using reverse pantograph style charging systems. The estimated contract value is $14,000,000.
