The Regional Town of Cap-Acadie is seeking bids for the Shoreline Trails - Phase II construction project in Grand Barachois, New Brunswick. - Government Buyer: - Regional Town of Cap-Acadie (Ville régionale Cap-Acadie), Chief Administration Office - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) or vendors are named in the solicitation - Products and Services Requested: - Construction of approximately 475 linear meters of 3m-wide stonedust trails (including granular base/subbase, excavation, fill, and grubbing) - Supply and installation of 5,060 square meters of topsoil and hydroseed - Supply and installation of 100 square meters of topsoil and sod for swale bottoms - Construction of a viewing/sliding hill berm (including fill and shaping) - Planting of 11 deciduous trees, 7 coniferous trees, and 18 shrubs - Supply and installation of three 300mm diameter, 9m long HDPE culverts (with rip rap at inlets/outlets) - Supply and installation of three timber electrical bollards (including electrical components) - Excavation and installation of 166 linear meters of electrical trench (including conduit, wire, and related components) - Supply and installation of one electrical pull box - General conditions covering all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals for project completion - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Contractors must obtain all necessary permits and provide shop drawings - Compliance with all specifications, addenda, and safety/site hoarding requirements - Bid security and insurance from a New Brunswick resident agent are required - The contract will use a CCDC 4 Unit Priced Contract - Liquidated damages of $1,000 per day apply for late completion - Place of Performance: - Grand Barachois, New Brunswick - Contracting office located at 2647, chemin Acadie, Cap-Pelé, New Brunswick, E4N 1C2

The project involves construction of new trails, a viewing/sliding hill berm, planting, electrical work, associated amenities, and site work. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked and delivered or mailed to the Town Hall by May 28, 2026, at 11:00 AM Atlantic Time. Tender documents are available online via the New Brunswick Opportunities Network (NBON) website. The Regional Town of Cap-Acadie reserves the right to reject any tender and does not guarantee acceptance of the lowest bid.
