Cole County Department of Public Works is seeking bids for the Sturbridge Drive Bridge Replacement project, a major infrastructure initiative in Jefferson City, Missouri. - Project Scope: - Demolition and removal of the existing bridge structure - Construction of a new 42-foot single span prestressed concrete spread box beam bridge - Installation of galvanized structural steel piles (136 linear feet) and 17-inch prestressed concrete spread box beams (129 linear feet) - Construction of bridge approach slabs (116 square yards), bituminous pavement (93 tons), and aggregate base for both permanent and temporary bypass (854 square yards) - Installation of bridge guardrail (Thrie beam, 100 linear feet), crashworthy end terminals, and 36-inch corrugated metal pipe for temporary bypass (96 linear feet) - Additional work includes clearing and grubbing, excavation, embankment, seeding, silt fence, rock blanket, construction signage, and erosion control measures - Notable Requirements: - All bidders must be on MoDOT’s Qualified Contractor List and submit a contractor questionnaire in advance - Bid, performance, and payment bonds are required - Project is subject to prevailing wage rates and is sales tax exempt - Completion required within 90 calendar days after notice to proceed - No specific OEMs are named, as standard construction materials and methods per Missouri and City of Jefferson specifications are required - Place of performance is in Jefferson City, Missouri, with the contracting office at the Courthouse Annex, Room 200, 311 East High Street
