Houston City College (HCC) is seeking bids for a major roof replacement and lightning protection system installation at the Fine Arts Building, Central Campus. - Government Buyer: - Houston City College (HCC) Facilities Department, managed by the Procurement Operations Department - Project Scope: - Complete removal and replacement of approximately 26,523 sq. ft. of roofing - Installation of a full building lightning protection system - All materials, labor, equipment, permits, and coordination required - Includes insulation, gypsum coverboard, SBS base interplies, PVC roofing membrane, sheet metal coping, flashing, roof crickets, and through-wall membrane system - Turnkey installation services with minimal disruption to campus operations - Products/Services Requested: - Roofing materials and supplies (trusses, asphalt, caps, coatings, insulation, PVC membrane, sheet metal, etc.) - Lightning protection system and all associated components - Turnkey installation, consulting, engineering, and general construction services - Notable Requirements: - 20-year full-system manufacturer warranty and 2-year workmanship warranty - Compliance with all applicable codes and HCC specifications - Liquidated damages of $1,000 per day for late completion - Coordination for after-hours or weekend work as needed - Submission of all required submittals and closeout documentation - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; bidders must provide all required materials and warranties - Estimated project value: $1.5 million - All bids must be submitted via the Bonfire procurement portal - Pre-bid conference and site visit required for prospective bidders
