This opportunity involves preservation and replacement work on the USS Rushmore (LSD-47), managed by the Department of the Navy through NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Yokosuka. - Government Buyer: - Department of the Navy, NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Yokosuka - Scope of Work: - Preservation and replacement of non-skid deck covering and deck plate at the 06 level weather deck - Replacement of deck coaming and repair of braces for portable davit sockets - Surface preservation in the fan room, including cleaning, testing deck drains, and replacing pipe supports - Repair of SRBOC MK5 MOD4 RSL No.2 and No.3 - Products and Materials Requested: - Multiple types of metal plates (ASTM A36), insulation boards (MIL-DTL-32585), adhesives (MIL-A-3316C, MIL-A-24179A, MIL-DTL-3316D), textile tape (MIL-C-20079), welding electrodes (MIL-E-22200/10), snap fasteners, pipe clamps, and rubber sheets - Quantities include: 2 deck coamings, 1 brace, 1 plate (1/4" thick), 2 plates (3/16" thick), 20 welding electrodes, 6 acoustic boards, 4 insulation boards (2"), 6 insulation boards (1"), 5 snap fasteners, 20 textile tapes, 8 gallons adhesive, and various other insulation and metal products - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All fabrication and installation must conform to specific military standards and referenced drawings - Work includes both preservation and new installation, with strict adherence to welding, insulation, and surface preparation standards - Government-furnished materials are specified for certain items - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or commercial manufacturers are named; materials are specified by military standards and part numbers - Place of Performance: - USS Rushmore (LSD-47), primarily at the 06 Level Weather Deck and fan room, located at Sasebo Naval Base, Sasebo, Nagasaki, Japan
