NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Mechanicsburg is seeking sole source repair and refurbishment services for R-114 Compressor/Motor units used in the U.S. Navy's SSBN 726 Class submarines. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Navy, NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support, Mechanicsburg, PA - OEM and Vendor: - Johnson Controls Navy Systems LLC is the sole source OEM authorized to perform the repair and refurbishment - Products/Services Requested: - Repair and refurbishment of three R-114 Compressor/Motor units (NSN 4Y 4130 01 051 5534) - Each unit must be restored to 'A' condition per SUBMEPP Refurbishment Instruction No. 5020-012-0002 Rev A Chg 5 - Unique TRIPER serial numbers: 042TR08374, 042TR00128, 042TR08375 - Technical data deliverables as specified in DD Form 1423 Exhibit 'A' - Notable Requirements: - Sole source to Johnson Controls Navy Systems LLC due to lack of government-owned data or rights for alternate sourcing - Strict packaging, marking, and inspection requirements - Inspection and acceptance at source for compressors; technical data accepted at destination - Delivery to Navy facilities in Silverdale, WA and Kings Bay, GA - Requirement is rated 'DX' under the Defense Priorities and Allocation System (DPAS) - Governed by BOA N00104-24-G-YX01 terms and conditions

Description

This is a sole source requirement with RMC 3R: The RMC code is 3R (Sole Source). Repair, for the second or subsequent time, directly from the actual manufacturer. The Government does not own the data or the rights to the data needed to purchase this part from additional sources. It has been determined to be uneconomical to buy the data or rights to the data. It is uneconomical to reverse engineer the part. This code is used when the Government did not initially purchase the data and/or rights.

Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00104-24-G-YX01 terms and conditions apply.  

In conjunction with the Defense Priorities and Allocation System (DPAS),  the requirement and subsequent award shall be rated “DX".
