Emergency Generator and ATS Maintenance & Repair BPA for Argonne National Laboratory

Argonne National Laboratory (ANL), part of the Department of Energy, is seeking a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for emergency generator and automatic transfer switch (ATS) maintenance and repair services at its Lemont, Illinois campus. - Government Buyer: - Department of Energy, Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) - OEMs and Vendors: - Major OEMs referenced: Cummins, Kohler, Caterpillar, Asco, Zenith, Russelectric, Marathon, ONAN, Detroit Diesel, Generac - Products/Services Requested: - Full-service maintenance and repair for 35 emergency standby generators and 56 ATS units - Preventative maintenance, system testing, immediate response, generator load bank testing (up to 2MW), and paralleling switchgear repair - OEM parts procurement and use of qualified in-house technicians - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Vendor must have a primary service facility within 75 miles of ANL - In-house technical support and engineering teams (mechanical and electrical) required - Access to OEM parts and load bank testing equipment is mandatory - Service covers a wide range of generator and ATS brands - Period of Performance: - Base year with two option years (total up to three years) - Place of Performance: - Argonne National Laboratory, 9700 S. Request for Proposal (RFP) No. 6-B187-P-00146-00 based on Argonne Statement of Work for “ANL Site Emergency Generator & Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) Service Contract” dated May 4, 2026.

Proposals are only eligable if the vendor meets the below location criteria: 

They maintain a primary service facility within 75 miles of the ANL campus in Lemont, IL.  Have an in-house technical support & engineering (Including Mechanical & Electrical engineers) to support their local field service team

The proposal must be structured in three (3) separate documents and email submissions as follows:

Part I - Technical Proposal (There shall be no cost information in this document.) Part II – Business/Management Proposal Part III - Cost/Price Proposal (Enclosure No. 8, “Appendix “C” Argonne Price Schedule”)

Proposal will be considered incomplete if not all requested information, listed above, is not provided.
