The Texas Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking proposals for the provision of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and related services to support individuals with traumatic brain injury (TBI) or traumatic spinal cord injury (TSCI) through its Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services (CRS) program. - Government Buyer: - Texas Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC), Procurement and Contracting Services (PCS) - Executive Commissioner: Stephanie Muth - Products and Services Requested: - Wide range of DME products, including: - Respiratory protection equipment (e.g., CPAP devices) - Resuscitators and portable rescue units - Specialized hospital beds and mattresses (air beds, intensive care, orthopedic, waterbeds) - Medical gases for anesthesia and respiration therapy (carbon dioxide, cyclopropane, nitrous oxide, oxygen) - Biofeedback equipment and supplies - Alternating pressure point pads and pumping systems - Physical therapy and pulmonary equipment - Hospital pumps (breast, enteral/IV feeding, infusion, pressure, suction, vacuum) - Vaporizers, humidifiers, nebulizers - Mobility aids (canes, crutches, gait trainers, walkers) - Commode and shower chairs - Patient lifting devices - Wheelchairs (manual, powered, mobile treatment chairs) - Sleep apnea equipment and supplies - Audio equipment for the hearing and visually impaired - Hearing aids and hearing devices - Associated services: - Installation, assessment, delivery, setup, modification, education, training, repair, and replacement - Notable Requirements: - Vendors must comply with CMS and Texas Medicaid standards - Timely delivery required (within 30 days of authorization) - Ability to serve statewide or by service region - Insurance coverage and adherence to service standards required - Work Order Quote (WOQ) process for individual orders - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or manufacturers are named; opportunity is open to all qualified vendors able to meet requirements - Contract Details: - Multi-year contract (initial term from August 2026 to August 2031, with possible one-year extension) - No guarantee of volume; work is issued via individual work orders
