The Thomas E Creek - Amarillo VA Healthcare System is seeking to purchase equipment for the Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) Department to assist with Preventive Maintenance (PM) and troubleshooting. The equipment being requested must help the HTM Department test virtually all models of ventilators: adult, pediatric, anesthesia, neonatal, and high frequency.
Description of work:
The equipment must test a variety of other medical equipment such as anesthesia gas delivery machines [measure concentration in percentage for Desflurane (Suprane), Sevoflurane, Isoflurane (Forane) and Halothane], air-oxygen blenders, medical insufflators, oxygen concentrators, CPAPs, and other devices with pneumatic gas flows.

Contract service shall ensure that the equipment functions in conformance with the latest published edition of the applicable standards, such as: National Fire Protection Association (NFPA-99); Underwriters Laboratories / Occupational Safety and Health Administration (UL OSHA); Dept of Veterans Affairs (VA); Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH), etc. and the Manufacturers Performance standards/specifications as used when the equipment was originally procured and that any upgrades/updates will meet the standards/specifications.
