Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. has determined that certain model year 2024-2025 Volkswagen Jetta and 2024 Volkswagen Taos motor vehicles do not fully comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 138, Tire Pressure Monitoring System. Volkswagen filed a noncompliance report dated September 17, 2025, and petitioned the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) on September 30, 2025, for a decision that the noncompliance is inconsequential as it relates to motor vehicle safety. This notice announces receipt of Volkswagen's petition and invites comments on the petition by June 3, 2026.
