The City of Austin Technology Services-Mobile Radio Communications is seeking a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive tower climbing, repair, and inspection services for its radio and mobile data antenna infrastructure. - Government Buyer: - City of Austin Technology Services-Mobile Radio Communications (MRC) - Products/Services Requested: - Tower climbing, maintenance, inspection, repair, and installation services for guyed and self-supporting towers, power-pole-mounted antennas, building-mounted antennas, and microwave antenna systems - Installation, repair, and removal of coaxial, hardline, and waveguide transmission lines - Antenna services including installation, repair, removal, relocation, and diagnostic testing (SWR, DTF, FDR) - Microwave and waveguide equipment repair or replacement - Grounding and lightning protection installation and maintenance (compliant with Motorola R56 standards) - Disposal of removed equipment in compliance with asset retirement laws - Technical support and diagnostic assistance for antenna systems - New system installations per City technical requirements - Quantities and Pricing Structure: - Estimated annual labor: 1200 hours (normal business hours), 105 hours (after hours) - 36 emergency service call-outs and 36 round-trip drive-time incidents annually - Estimated annual material spend: $100,000 (markup not to exceed 15%) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Contractors must comply with Motorola R56 standards, OSHA safety protocols, and National Wireless Safety Alliance (NWSA) certification for tower climbers - 24/7 emergency response capability required - All services provided on an as-needed basis - Contractor must provide all necessary parts unless supplied by the City - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation - Place of Performance: - City of Austin and Travis County, Texas
