Description

SUNY Upstate Medical University intends to purchase medical products from a contract awarded by a consortium (GPO) pursuant to its authority under section 163 (3) (vi), which authorizes the purchase of commodities from a consortium or comparable entity in lieu of using a centralized contract and without a formal competitive process when justified by price. Vendors who sell products equivalent or functionally equivalent to those listed in the contract may contact the listed representative to discuss procurement. Equivalency must be demonstrated by meeting the clinical performance and KPIs of the products, and vendors must provide free supporting clinical documentation and equipment for examination, demonstration, and trial. Vendors must be authorized to sell their proposed products by the original manufacturer. This procurement is subject to NYS Finance Law §139 j&k (Lobbying Law).
