Projects must develop inventories and assessments for individual right-of-way and landscape trees, forested natural areas, or community forest management plans, including new methods using ground-based remote sensing technologies. The grant supports projects enhancing urban forest resiliency and co-benefits such as clean air, water, stormwater retention, heat mitigation, and public health. Eligible projects must be completed within a four-year contract term and are reimbursed after costs are paid upfront by the awardee.
