Cleveland Blvd. - Project Scope: - Renovations to the existing Police Department and Municipal Court buildings - Construction of new Fire Department living quarters and building additions (one-story and two-story expansions) - Lump sum contract with alternates for roof replacement, apparatus bay expansion, parking lot restriping, and exhaust system installation - Key Products and Materials: - Replacement and installation of at least 10 skylights (six for the Apparatus Bay, four for expansion; 48x48 inch units) - Hollow metal doors and frames (must meet Texas Department of Insurance windstorm requirements; OEMs: Amweld, CECO, Steelcraft, Deansteel, Vision Hollow Metal Unlimited; Mesker Door not accepted) - Epoxy/resinous flooring (Resuflor Deco Flake BC or approved equal; Granitex High Build by ICP Building Solutions Group approved) - Solid plastic toilet partitions (Hiny Hiders by Scranton Products approved) - Structural steel, steel joists, steel deck, cold-formed metal framing, metal fabrications, rough and roof carpentry, sheathing, and interior architectural woodwork - Services and Engineering: - Architectural and engineering design by Chesney Morales Partners, Cleary Zimmermann Engineers, Intelligent Engineering Services, Bain Medina Bain, CFZ Group, and Amtech Solutions - Geotechnical engineering, asbestos and lead-based paint surveys, professional roof consulting, and building systems commissioning - Notable Requirements: - Compliance with ADA and Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) windstorm certification - Asbestos and lead-based paint surveys required for renovation areas - Substitution requests for specified products are permitted but subject to approval - Liquidated damages of $1,800 per day for late completion - Estimated project value: $7.87 million - Construction documents and addenda available electronically or as hard copies for a refundable deposit - Place of performance: 600 W.
