The State of Hawaii Department of Agriculture and Biosecurity is seeking bids for on-call services to support the Molokai Irrigation System on the Island of Molokai. - Government Buyer: - State of Hawaii, Department of Agriculture and Biosecurity, Agricultural Resource Management Division - OEMs and Vendors: - Badger (for water meters) - Products and Services Requested: - Four (4) Badger Recordall Model 170 Disc Series 2-inch water meters (or approved equal) - Installation of 2-1/2 inch copper laterals, meter boxes, metal frames, covers, pipe cushions, and pavement restoration (two Option 1 and two Option 2 installations) - Removal of Albizia trees in three size categories (2-inch, 3-4 inch, 5-6 inch diameters) - Emergency on-call services for irrigation system maintenance - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Valid State Contractors license, Classification A, required - Contract term is 730 calendar days from Notice to Proceed (NTP), with NTP possibly delayed up to one year - Preference for bidders in registered apprenticeship programs - Compliance with Hawaii state tax, labor, and business registration laws - Work includes both scheduled and emergency response tasks - Place of Performance: - Molokai Irrigation System, Island of Molokai, Hawaii - Contracting office located in Honolulu, Hawaii

Description

This solicitation is for on-call services related to the Molokai Irrigation System. The scope of work includes installation of irrigation water service laterals, meters, and meter boxes; removal of trees from reservoir embankments, access roads, and various parcels; removal of sediment and debris from ditches, flumes, and culverts; repair or replacement of gate valves; locating and repairing leaking irrigation pipelines; installation or repair of chain link fencing; troubleshooting and repair of pumps and ancillary components in Waikolu Valley; and hauling and disposal of illegally dumped materials. The work is to be performed on the island of Molokai under the Department of Agriculture and Biosecurity, Agricultural Resource Management Division.
