Description

The fiscal year 2026 (FY26) Alzheimer’s Research Program (AZRP) Transforming Care Award (TrCA) supports clinical research or clinical trials evaluating interventions, innovations, and solutions in critical areas for dementia care for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease related dementia (AD/ADRD) and their care partner(s). Clinical trials solely testing pharmacological interventions and studies using animal models are not allowed. Preliminary data and community collaboration for research enrolling human subjects are required. The program encourages leveraging existing cohorts/datasets and includes a Career Initiation or Transition (CIT) Partnership Option for collaborative partnerships.
