Description

The FY26 Arthritis Research Program (ATRP) Clinical Research Award (CRA) supports clinical research evaluating disease-specific factors and interventions to generate clinically useful evidence for optimizing patient outcomes and informing clinical care or policy. Research addressing all types of arthritis is encouraged and must focus on either Prevention and Early Diagnosis or Treatment and Mitigation of Disease Progression/Burden. The award offers funding for two research levels: Level 1 for clinical research or early-phase/pilot clinical trials, and Level 2 for full-scale clinical trials. Applications should include a community collaborator and require preliminary or published data. The total funding amount is approximately $7.15 million to support about four awards with a maximum performance period of four years.
