This opportunity involves the replacement and upgrade of electrical switchgear and substations at Tinker Air Force Base, Building 1, Oklahoma: - Government Buyer: - U.S. Air Force Materiel Command, 72nd Air Base Wing Civil Engineer Directorate, and Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC PZIOC) - Products and Services Requested: - Replacement of 3000amp 208V switchgear and two 600amp feeder breakers - Removal and replacement of existing 480V and 208V unit substations - Installation of new 480V and 208V switchgear enclosures - Installation of a new 500 kVA step-down transformer (480V-208V/120Y) - Reconnection to existing 1500 kVA OG&E transformer - Replacement of two 600A panelboards (Panel B-9 and Panel LPO) - All materials, labor, equipment, testing, and quality control for the above - Notable Requirements: - Project must be performed while the facility remains occupied, with work primarily during normal duty hours - Phased demolition and installation to minimize operational impact - Coordination with Oklahoma Gas & Electric (OG&E) for transformer integration - Mandatory site visit and base access coordination for offerors - Key personnel required: Project Manager, Quality Control Manager, Site Safety Officer, Superintendent - Deliverables include construction schedules, progress reports, submittals, and record drawings - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation or attachments - Estimated Contract Value: - Project magnitude is estimated between $100,000 and $250,000

Project Title: WWYK200051 Replace Switchgear, Bldg 1 Project Location: Tinker AFB - BUILDING 1. Replace the 3000amp 208Volt switchgear in the center of building 1. There is a 3000amp main and two 600amp feeder breakers. 

The estimated project value is below $25M and is restricted to SB MAC BOA holders only.

Currently, the Solicitation – Request for Proposal (RFP) is in the draft stage and will be posted once available.

After review of the project specific documents, if you are a Tinker AFB – MAC BOA Holder, please send an email to the Contracting Points of Contact as an RSVP stating you are interested in attending the Initial Site Visit.  Your RSVP email must be received within 5 calendar days from the posting of this project.  In your RSVP, please let us know if all personnel that will be attending the Initial Site Visit have base access.  If anyone requires base access, you must forward with your RSVP the Entry Access List (EAL) so that we can know how many personnel require base access.   ***** ONLY MAC BOA Prime Contractors are to RSVP, Subcontractors are to inform at least one Prime Contractor of their intention to attend and if a Subcontractor requires base access, they must be sponsored by a Prime Contractor.

After receipt of your RSVP and EAL if required, an Initial Site Visit will be coordinated.  Current date/time for Initial Site Visit is set for Thursday May 14, 2026 at 10:00 AM Central Time. The location instructions and directions are in the attachments for the Initial Site Visit. 

You must attend the Initial Site Visit for the project to be considered eligible to propose.
