The Government of Nunavut is seeking air charter services for a fixed-wing aerial survey of wildlife and caribou in the Baffin region. - Government Buyer: - Government of Nunavut, Department of Community & Government Services, Purchasing, Logistics & Contract Support - Products/Services Requested: - Fixed-wing air charter services for a wildlife and caribou aerial survey - Aircraft requirements: - Single or twin-engine, high-wing, fixed-wing turbine aircraft with wing struts - Equipped with radar altimeter, intercom system for 6 passengers, IFR-certified pilots, and safety/emergency equipment - Minimum on-transect endurance of 5.8 hours plus legal fuel reserve - Ability to sustain 90 knots average airspeed - Windows allowing unobstructed ground vision - Pilot requirements: - Minimum 2,500 hours fixed-wing experience - Experience with aerial wildlife surveys and mountainous environments - Services include: - Hourly wet rate (fuel included), positioning to Igloolik, de-positioning from Naujaat, airport and maintenance fees, and crew expenses - Accommodation and meals for pilots provided by the Government of Nunavut - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Bidders must be certified air carriers with a Transport Canada Air Operator Certificate and a domestic carrier license, or resellers with direct contractual relationships with licensed air carriers - Compliance with Canadian aviation regulations and Nunavut's NNI Regulations is mandatory - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific aircraft OEMs or vendors are named; open to any qualified air carrier meeting requirements - Places of Performance: - Igloolik, Sanirajak, and Naujaat, Nunavut - Contracting office located in Iqaluit, Nunavut
